UE Members Vote to Accept Union Contracts and Vow to Continue Struggle Coast-to-Coast
After days of discussion and debate, UE Local 1008 members who work for Northrop Grumman, SPS, and Stanley voted on Tuesday and Wednesday to ratify the companies' "last, best and final" contract offers. Over 80% of members participated in the contract votes.
Northrop Grumman: 90 - YES, 5 - NO
Stanley: 112 - YES, 35 NO
SPS: 31 YES, 4 NO
While the ratification votes mark the end of the months-long struggle for first contracts, Local 1008 members vow to continue the coast-to-coast fight for justice at USCIS, including supporting their sisters and brothers in Vermont in their fight for a first contract at Northrop Grumman. In the weeks ahead, Local 1008 will continue to build and strengthen the Union and move forward together.
