Local 1008 Members Speak Out about Union Contracts
"I'm happy we now have a union contract. Since I was thrown out of my old QC job when we changed contractors, I know that can't happen again. But we still have a lot to do ahead. Even though some members were not happy about not winning everything we deserved, I know our people will come back together to move forward."

“Its good that we have a contract and we now have the protection. That's a good start. We have to be stronger. Members are happy that everyone will be getting raises for the next three years. It's good that we now have protection because if a new company comes in we have our union and they can't take things away and make all the changes they've done before.”

“I’m very happy with the contract with increases every year. And it’s good we have a contract because if a new company comes in they have to respect us and our union. Language on protection and job security is good. I kept telling my group to read the information and make sure they went to vote. Already more workers are signing up to be members.”
